Ero Seagull


The Greek – Canadian Alternative Hip Hop Artist will be releasing her debut album Evolution on June 12th. The album consists of fourteen (14) songs that were written and recorded during a twelve-month period in Athens, Greece at The Cave Studio and the studio Future Perfect. It is produced by Ero Seagull, Dieselbytes Supreme, Marilena Orfanou, mrpc (Afrocream) and engineered and mastered by Ekelon and Selini.

Fourteen electro / hip hop songs (incl. a Charles Bukowski reading set to music) that mix rock, EDM and funk elements. Theme wise the tracks vary. One is about love or finding a girlfriend cheating, another one is about a better world, one is through Jesus’ perspective and another one is through Romeo’s perspective (Romeo & Juliet).

Leon Rhymes (Too Many T’s) and Daphne Bluebird are the two featured artists in the album in the songs What’s in a Romeo and Choose Love.

Ero Seagull first appeared in the music contest The Peoples Music Awards in London where she won the judges’ round in the “Off the beaten track” category for Unison | Breath of Life. She went to give her first concert in the venue Scala and she has also played a live gig in The World Festival of Music & Drama in Lahore with her composition Craters on the moon which was the soundtrack of the theatre play Blush of Spring Directed by Anne-Marie O’Sullivan.

Her song The Gospel was picked up by US music bloggers, went viral and reached more than 30,000 plays in less than a month. Ero was approached by the press and she had an interview both with an American reporter and an American radio host of the show Dopeness, and the song got really good reviews and it played in a Canadian radio station H3 that acclaimed her as the artist of the week.

Background and work experience

After obtaining her degrees in French and Italian and graduating from the American School of Athens, Ero started her journey learning the art of Theater and Film Directing in Leeds University and other institutes. She has also studied Editing, Creative Writing and Screenwriting in Inter-graphics and the Hellenic-American Union.

She has worked in Film, Documentaries, Theater, Television, video clips and Radio.
She has worked in the National Theater of Greece, The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the European Union and is now working in the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ( ERT).
Her roles in the industry have varied. This multitasker has undertaken projects as an Assistant Director, as a Writer, as a Director, as an Editor, as a Production Research Manager, as a Manager as a Camera-woman and as a Musician/Composer, as a Photographer and as a Radio-presenter. She has also worked as a Dramaturg in a play that toured schools, raising awareness on racism. She has worked in theatre with the director Yannis Kalatzopoulos on the “Land of birds” an adaptation of the birds by Aristophanes. She has also worked with the director Leonidas Vardaros and PHD Stella Keramida as an assistant director and cinematographer and on her internship working in the University students in theatre often said she has a gift in teaching.

Ero Glarou is also known as a DJ. She started mixing the decks ever since the age of 16 and since then has played in many venues in England and Greece. She and two other DJs created a mobile party called “No Excuse To Party”
